I’m Eleanor (Elle) and I am 15 years old from Essex! I was born with a bilateral cleft lip. I like acting because I feel like I can be someone besides myself and this helps me a lot when I’m in a bad place. I like taking photos of nature and my little sister because I think she is beautiful. I think I am very creative so that is why I like English because I like to write stories and also poems. I like listening to other people’s problems because I can safely say that I have been through it all and love the satisfaction of helping other people through the hard times. I used to hate the way I look but now I embrace it, so what if I have scars? It makes me different. So what if I’m not perfect? It makes me,me.

Joining the council
If you would like to become a council member and you are aged between nine and seventeen years old all you have to do is fill out the three-paged application form and send it back to Claire at CLAPA saying why you would like to be involved.
Once Claire has received the completed application form she will take it to the next meeting of the council for the members to see. A decision will be made after that time. The council would really like some new members so please do apply.
